The Champaign for Vicksburg Commemorating 150 years: A FAM Tour and Educational Conference for the Travel Media in Preparation for 2011-13 Observance. The conference is sponsored by the National Park Service through the Preserve America Historic Preservation Fund Grants Program and the Cities of Vicksburg, Port Gibson and Raymond, Mississippi, Mississippi Development Authority Division of Tourism and the Vicksburg Convention and Visitors Bureau.

- Space is reserved for a maximum of 150 journalists on assignment. Space will be accepted on a first come, first served basis. (Spouses, partners, children or guests cannot be accommodated).
- Journalists must be professional travel writers on assignment for a recognized media outlet; a letter of assignment is required for freelance journalists.
- Journalists must provide a brief bio and copies of at least two recently published articles; Web site links are acceptable.
- Selected journalists who accept, but cancel within two weeks of the trip, agree to pay a penalty of $50 to the Vicksburg CVB.
Application Deadline: Monday, April 27, 2009. (Selected participants will be notified by Friday, May 8, 2009).
